
RootLevel Labs is a client of the Wake Forest University New Venture incubator and is housed at the incubator’s digital media lab. The digital media lab is located in downtown Winston-Salem and includes work areas, conference rooms, servers and workstations, and a growing list of development tools.
The digital media lab is designed to be a very open facility where it is possible to meet, collaborate, develop applications, work together, and have fun.
The digital media lab provides a workstations that are available for use. Several PC stations are available that can be used for development of web applications, mobile applications, iPad applications, etc. A high end Mac workstation with the Adobe suite will soon be available.
In addition to workstations, a server with two terrabytes of storage is available for projects.
There are many tools available including the full Microsoft suite as a participant in Bizspark.
New tools that will soon be available include mobile device simulators, Apple tools, Android tools, and many web authoring systems.
In addition to open work areas and workstations that are available for use, there are several guest stations where a laptop may be used and connected to a keyboard, mouse, and large screen display.
